Matthew K. Foster
Matthew K. Foster became a partner in our firm in 1996 when he was only 28 years old. He is a native of Tallahassee. He received an athletic scholarship to attend Florida State University and was awarded the FSU Top Scholar Athlete Award in 1989 and 1990. Matt graduated cum laude from FSU with a major in criminology and attended FSU Law School, graduating with high honors in 1994. Matt was nominated as a candidate for the Rhodes Scholarship Award and was fortunate enough to be selected for a Supreme Court internship. Matt also received the highest lawyer rating available (AV rating) based upon reviews by local lawyers and judges through Martindale-Hubbell's rating system. Matt is a former president of the Florida Young Lawyers Section of the Tallahassee Bar Association and past president of the Florida Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers, Leon County Division. He has committed his professional career to aggressively protecting the rights of the accused in criminal defense, as well as helping ensure that accident victims are treated fairly when dealing with insurance companies. He has extensive experience in handling DUI cases. Matt was also selected by the FSU law school to and serves as an adjunct professor teaching the trial practice course offered by the law school.
